Les Galipettes
Les Galipettes is a rosé wine for springtime – whence its name, which reminds us of the first “galipettes” (somersaults) we made as children, when the flowers blossomed again in the meadows. It’s a rosé resulting from direct pressing of Gamay, Pineau d’Aunis and Côt grapes. They’re harvested when fully ripe, so as to obtain a rosé wine that provides all the expected freshness and fruitiness, of course, as well as character and body. Les Galipettes is one of the estate’s curiosities and is produced in small quantities.

The Climats & Consorts

Climat N°1
Climat No.1 is a white wine produced from the estate’s finest parcels, classified as Touraine-Oisly. The Touraine-Oisly registered designation, a Touraine vintage, was created in 2011 in recognition of the harmonious marriage of this unique terroir and Sauvignon Blanc. Sauvignon Blanc’s characteristic aromas are enhanced by this outstanding terroir. Climat No.1 is vinified from fully mature grapes and aged for months on fine lees. It’s a wine that combines power, finesse and elegance and has no fear of the passing years. Quite the contrary!

Climat N°2
Climat No.2 is a white wine produced from a rigorous parcel selection of an almost forgotten grape variety: Menu-Pineau, still known as Orbois with an O! This old local variety has seen its territory nibbled away by Sauvignon over past decades. When he took over the estate, Lionel decided to destroy this parcel, but it resisted. The accidents of vinification decided otherwise…

Climat N°3
Climat No.3 is a red wine elaborated from one of Touraine’s oldest grape varieties: Côt, which is still called Malbec. To be more specific, in this particular cuvee, it’s Côt Garnon, a massal selection from the Cher Valley. The grapes come from a small parcel planted with old vines scraping by on sandy-clay soil where flintstones have also taken up residence. They’re harvested by hand as late as possible in the season in order to ensure the vintage’s maximum maturity. Ageing takes a full year, carried out slowly and gently in vats, and the wine is bottled on the eve of the next harvest.

ROSAM
Rosam is a rosé resulting from a delicate assemblage of several red grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Gamay and Pineau d’Aunis. The vines are trained so as to obtain top-quality grapes, with constant concern for the impact that cultivation practices have on the natural environment. The grapes are harvested by hand. This wine is a “haute couture” rosé, combining finesse and aromatic complexity. It will be an ideal partner for your aperitifs and a harmonious companion to fish, white meats, grills and cuisines from elsewhere.
